Terms of Service

1. About Gille
Gille is a sports club management platform operated by Gille Inc, a company registered in Sweden ("Gille", "we", "our", or "us"). Gille provides software tools for sports clubs to manage members, teams, scheduling, attendance, and payments.
By registering for or using the Gille web platform or mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of a sports club or organisation ("Club"), you confirm that you have authority to bind that Club to these terms.
2. Accounts and registration
To use the Service you must create an account. You may register using an email address and password, or via a supported third-party authentication provider (Google, Microsoft, or Apple).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at info@gille.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Club administrators may add members who are minors to the platform on behalf of the Club, subject to the Club's own obligations under applicable law.
3. Club administrators and members
When a Club signs up for Gille, the person who registers becomes the Club owner. The Club owner may invite other users as administrators, coaches, or members. Each Club is solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of member data entered into the platform
- Obtaining any necessary consent from their members before adding personal data
- Compliance with applicable data protection laws in relation to their members' data
- Setting appropriate access controls for their administrators and coaches
Members who sign up via the mobile app to access their own club profile do so at the invitation or instruction of their Club. Their account data is associated with the Club.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Upload or transmit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or another user's account
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Service
5. Payments and billing
Clubs may use Gille to collect membership fees and issue invoices to their members. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By connecting a Stripe account or making payments through the Service, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Gille charges a platform fee for payment processing features. The fee structure is communicated during Club onboarding and may be updated with reasonable notice.
Clubs are responsible for all refunds and chargebacks arising from payments collected through the Service. Gille is not liable for disputes between Clubs and their members regarding fees or payments.
6. Intellectual property
Gille and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content created by Gille. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property other than the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
You retain ownership of data you upload to the Service. By uploading data, you grant Gille a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or modify features. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gille shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Gille in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
